Gilmore Girls Star Lauren Graham Buys Ashley Benson’s Historic Spanish-Style House

Gilmore Girls actor Lauren Graham has swapped her longtime Los Feliz, Los Angeles home for some new digs just around the corner, according to Dirt. Graham has resided in the exclusive gated community Laughlin Park since 2005 when she purchased a historic property from Portia de Rossi for $3.2 million. After making an impressive profit on the $6 million sale of that house last month, the Parenthood star just bought a nearby Laughlin Park home for $2.7 million from Pretty Little Liars actor Ashley Benson. Clearly, the star-studded area has its draw, as Benson also moved to a new pad within the community.

Perched on a small hillside lot, Graham’s new three-bedroom, four-bathroom dwelling is a 1925-built Spanish-style house that spans three floors and 2,007 square feet. Benson made extensive upgrades to the structure before selling it, reportedly springing for a top-of-the-line kitchen, bathrooms, and refinished vintage hardwood floors.

Inside, the living room of the historic home boasts barrel-vaulted ceilings, an inky black marble fireplace, and unimpeded window and balcony views of Griffith Park Observatory. French doors connect the living room to a terrace lined with organically rounded stucco walls. Beyond the living room, the newly renovated kitchen is lined with matching quartz countertops, backsplash, and floating shelves.

On the floor below, the owner’s suite enjoys a walk-in closet, kitchenette, a roomy ensuite bathroom decked out in black marble, and a covered terrace with large arched openings for soaking in the views. Below, the lower level offers a guest studio with its own entrance and a full bathroom. Just outside, a back patio features a fire pit and a built-in stone bench.

Laughlin Park has been a celebrity home hotspot since the 1920s when it was the stomping grounds of filmmaking icon Cecil B. DeMille. Today, the exclusive community is home to a lengthy list of celebs including Natalie Portman, Kristen Stewart, and Angelina Jolie, who is the current owner of the DeMille estate.
